STEADY – the newest generation of SAT STERLING single or combined filling systems with stationary console.
These systems are suitable for various applications – e.g. for decentralised media filling in prototype manufacturing or in rework areas – and they can be used in the regular–interval production of motor or commercial vehicles.
SAT STEADY filling systems are impressive due to their small space requirements in the direct working area of vehicle production. The combination of all regular filling processes enables parallel filling of the vehicle.
When used in regular-interval line production, it is possible to retrofit a cable trailing unit. Regardless of the site, SAT STEADY’s filling systems offer the processing and filling quality of SAT STERLING, appreciated the world over.
Depending on the design, retrofitting of a moving cable trailing unit is possible. Thus, SAT STERLING STEADY systems enable an increase in production capacity at a later stage – for example, if a car plant is switching from regular-interval production to flow production.
The sharing of control technology in com-
bined systems leads to cost-saving effects. Particularly in prototype production or in the rework area, the supply and control of multiple consoles through one base unit leads to additional cost-saving potential.
STEADY systems can be based on the structure of the SAT STERLING MOVABLE systems for online filling as well as on individually designed, decentralized solutions for manufacturing/producing of prototypes.
Due to the decentralised structure of the STEADY system, it is possible to supply several filling stations from a central base unit. The decentralised structure ensures optimum space at the filling stations.
The filling system consists of a base unit, a stationary console and a filling adapter.
The base unit, in turn, is made up of mechanic cabinets that contain the filling modules for the respective medium and the electrical cabinet which contains the control technology.
The mechanical cabinets and control cabinet are mounted on the same base frame. The base unit may be positioned on a platform or at some distance to the location of use.
One base unit may control and supply several stationary consoles. In a SAT STEADY COMBI, the entire control system of all filling modules is integrated in a single control cabinet.
A stationary console consists of the filling module and the proportional control technology, which is housed in separate small cabinets. At SAT STEADY COMBI systems control technology for all filling modules is integrated in a single cabinet. The console is installed stationary at the site, and the adapter for vehicle system filling is selectively connected via an adapter quickconnector plate or quick couplings directly with the stationary console. A fast exchange of the adapter with the hose package is possible at any time.
SAT STERLING filling adapters are drip-free and can be equipped with special sensors for pressure and vacuum measurement. The integrated sensors allow recording of process values – as close to the vehicle system as possible.
SAT Steady filling systems are tailored to the individual needs of our customers. The component selection is made according to customer standard, or is based on decades of successfully tested SAT standard.
Integration and Automation
SAT STERLING filling systems offer the full spectrum of production system connections. These include system-internal recipe management, registry by hand scanner, print of results on vehicle data sheet, central recipe control by server system with automatic vehicle identification (via scanner, camera or RFID) and the final storage of the filling results in the existing production system database.
Typically, the actual filling process runs fully automated after pressing the button on the filling adapter – regardless of connection to the production system.
SAT STEADY filling systems can be designed so that the retrofitting of automatic cable trailing unit is possible.
They therefore constitute a needs-based investment and can grow with the volume of production and work.
